Question
I joined the Army at the tender age of 19. I was placed in the Delayed Entry Program. At some point, I felt that fighting was wrong, after talking with my pastor and my parents. They convinced it was wrong for women for fight or engage in battle. I asked for a separation based on the fact that I came to believe war was wrong. I received an uncharacterized discharge via a letter. I was not issued a DD214.
I am older, I am 30 years old, and a healthcare professional. I  would like to join the Air Force. Is this a feasible route ?

Answer
You'd have to discuss with the Air Force their current accessions policy.  I know the Army is shrinking so you'd likely be excluded from consideration from re-joining the Army without a very specialized healthcare skill like RN/Doctor or such.  The Air Force generally has more restrictive recruiting policies than even us, so I'd say its unlikely.  The issue is that they see you've had that conscientious objector status in your records and don't want a second round of that after investing time and money into moving/training/setting you up. Your best bet is to go talk to them and see what they'll do.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
