Question
Sir,
I am a veteran of the Navy.  I am interested in joining the Coast Guard Reserves.  I have an RE-R1 reenlistment code.  I knocked out my front tooth and broke my arm while on active duty in the Navy.  I recently submitted a compensation request to the VA to have these injuries service connected in case of future complications.  I have no current problems from these injuries.  If I become a disabled Vet @ 0%, with no monthly compensation can I enlist in the coast guard reserves?
Respectfully,
Jesse

Answer
Jesse,

Assuming you meet age, medical and physical fitness requirements with a reenlistment code of RE-R1 you are eligible for reenlistment in the Coast Guard Reserve.  I recommend you contact your local CG recruiter and start the process of reenlisting.
