Question
I heard that they raised the age limit to join, I thought it was now 38 is the oldest you can be. Is that true?
Thank you

Answer
Dear Mary Kate --

They did raise the age limit for joining the military.  If you have no prior service, you can be no older that 38 years when you join.

The formula changes, if you have ever served, in any Armed Services branch.

You must still pass an aptitude battery, a fitness test, and a medical examination prior to entry.  To remain on duty you must pass basic training and individual advanced skills training.

Please write back, if you have additional questions.
