Question
Rod,
I have just received an appointment to the Air Force Academy. I want to be a pilot in the Air Force (C-17). Just out of curiosity, which air force base do you think (or know) is involved in the most operations (combat, humanitarian, etc.) Basically, which air force base wing of C-17s is called upon the most?? (Mcchord, Charleston, Hickam, other, etc.) THANKS

Answer
Hi Cody,

None. Under the Air Forces AEF (Aerospace Expeditionary Force) concept, all units rotate, in turn, when it comes to deployment commitments. In other words, all C-17 Squadrons are tasked exactly the same. That's the entire purpose of the AEF program.
