Question
Rod,

I am a county veterans servicer officer and have the following question I hope you can help me with. I have a veteran who was discharged for the Airforce in 1954 filing a claim in our office. The question is this... His DD-214 reflcets reason for discharge is  Disqualification under EPTS AFM 35-4 chapter 9? Can you tell me exactly what this means?  I called the airforce recruiter her in our city and he could not tell me. Thanks

Thanks

Answer
Hi Robert,

I wish I could, but this AFM no longer exists.

However, the Military Personnel Records Center in St. Louis should be able to tell the Veteran (or you, if you have signed permission from the Venteran) what the actual discharge reason was for.

The address is:

National Personnel Records Center
(Military Personnel Records)
9700 Page Ave.
St. Louis, MO 63132-5100

Again, you will need to include signed permission from the Veteran to access the information, in your request.

Hope this helps!
