Question
Good Afternoon,
My fiancee is a US Marine, currently stationed at Camp Lejune, NC and I wanted to know after he's finishing with going to MOS school for Personnel Administration, where are the possible duty stations he could be assigned to? Also, once he finishes with MOS school, would it be wise for us to get married?

Answer
Hi,

Your fiancé's MOS (job) is in use at pretty much any Marine Corps Base (and
several Navy Bases, which have a significant amount of Marines assigned
there). That means he can be assigned almost anywhere. Where he will
actually get assigned depends on his desires, and the "needs of the
service." For details, see my article at:
http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/joiningup/a/recruiter10.htm

When you get married is up to you. But, if he gets married *before*
reporting to his first duty assignment, the military will pay for you to
relocate there (assuming, of course, if he's assigned to a location where
dependents are allowed to travel at government expense).

If he reports to his first duty assignment first, then you get married
after, then you will have to pay to relocate to his duty station.  For
details, see my article at:
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningthemilitary/a/milmarriage.htm

Hope this helps!
