Question
Hello, I have been convicted for assualt as a juvenile and possession of marijuana as an adult. I really want to join the coast guard or national guard and i would like to know if there is any chance in hell i would get in. Thanks.

For the Coast Guard, any criminal conviction for any drug is going to be very, very tough to get a waiver. Why? Because the Coast Guard is not only a Military service, but they are also a law enforcement agency, and one of their primary law enforcement duties is the enforcement of drug possession laws.
You would probably have a better chance with the Army National Guard.
