Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/New group working with socom?

I asked a question a while back about the marines. Well i decided to join and im currently studying for the asvab.  But i got a question. I have just started to here rumors on this new group of marines. They call themselves detachment one. From what i here they work hand and hand with delta force and the seals. I was wondering if you had heard anything about them?

 They are no longer called Det 1 as far as I know.  The Marines now are attached to SOCOM, that is correct. Det 1 was disbanded, I believe...

 You will have to go the Basic Infantry route to get to any of those USMC units, BTW, you just can't enlist for them, as far as I know..

Field Radio Operator: MOS 2531. Served as a Platoon Sergeant in a Communications Platoon assigned to MEU Service Support Group 24 (Special Operations Capable). Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years. I"ve been collecting and selling Marine Corps and other military uniforms, medals, and field gear since I was 8 years old.
