Question
In your opinion... What branch of military offers the best Nursing Program? Army, Navy, or Air Force?

Answer
It isn't a matter of "best," but rather a matter of "focus."

All of the branches have nurses stationed at medical facilities at their normal (stateside) bases. I don't think there's much difference in such assignments.

With the current situation in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Army Nursing program is primarily based on the mission of that service.

The Army has more nurses practicing in forward (war) locations, practicing medical procedures in forward (combat) locations where members are injured and need immediate care.

The Air Force has more medical evactuation nurses, who specialize is treating patients in a transport mode.

The Navy has a few "medical ships," which they station off of combat zones, to provide a "safe" area to stabalize combat injuries before evacuation to major medical centers.

Hope this helps!
