Question
What are the chances of an OCS graduate being commissioned as a Special Operations (SEAL) officer?
are chances very slim or unlikely?
if an OCS graduate is commissioned as a Logistics or Surface Warfare officer can he later apply for BUD/S training?
if so how long would an officer have to serve in his current career field before being able to apply to BUD/S?
Hi Charlie,
The Navy is always needs qualified SEALS (both officer and enlisted), so if one qualifies and can then get through the training program, the chances of being selected are pretty good. It's the "qualifying" part (and the training part) that make the difference.
