Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/Part II ETS Physical

Question
I am scheduled to have my Part II physical done next week.  I have already spoke with the PA and she has stated that after it is complete I will be exempt from PT, getting in military vehicles, and will be stuck behind a desk for the duration until my ETS date. However, my First Sergeant has stated that it is just a myth and I will soldier in every way until my ETS date. It doesn't really matter to me either way, I just need a straight answer on what is the right thing to do as I need to be a soldier and look out for my best interests as well. So is there a regualtion or anything solid either side of this argument can tie themselves to?

Answer
Hi Kevin,

Your First Sergeant is "blowing smoke."

Assuming the medical doctors issue a profile waiver, you cannot be required to do anything that is prohibited by the profile waiver.

Hope this helps!
