Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/Pullup trouble

Question
Hello, I am a sophmore in highschool, i can run till the cows come home, but i have a huge problem, I can't do 1 pullup. I can do 20 pushups (which i know isn't good) but if i want to join the marine corps i have to be able to do atleast 10 (I mean I want to do atleast ten). So i was wondering, if there was a daily workout plan you can give me, that will build me up to being able to do a pullup (and build up my pushups also). Before i go i just want to say that i really want to become an officer in the marine corps and willing to do whatever it takes to become one. Thanks in advanced.

        Sincerely

Answer
Tony:

No, there really isn't a 'daily' workout plan I can give you, except, start working on your upper body strength.  I did this before I went in, by lifting free weights, doing curls, and things like that, every day.  My suggestion is to talk to your PE teacher, and see what they advise you to do and how to build up your upper body strength.

Best of luck!

Expertise

Questions relating to US Marine Corps; rank, awards, uniforms, career choices. I can also help people spot and expose fakes (people pretending to be Marines or have awards they didn`t earn). Considering the Marines as a career? Or another branch, like the Air National Guard? Drop me a line. HOWever..know that I am NOT a recruiter. I can offer my expert opinion and advice, but can't (and won't) over rule what a recruiter says, they are the 'on duty' expert.
