Question
QUESTION: Is an AF REENTRY CODE 2C eligible for USCG/CGR?

ANSWER: Hi Chris,

Probably not, but much would probably depend on the exact reason for discharge, and your service characterization (honorable, general, or other than honorable).

Of all the service branches, the Air Force and the Coast Guard need the fewest new applicants. As such, both services can afford to be "picky," when it comes to new applicants, because (on average) both services receive three times as many applicants than they have "slots" for.

QUESTION: thanks for the good info. My Charachterization was honorable. What branch would you recommend that considered USA, USN???

Answer
Hi Chris,

The Army would probably be the best bet, as they are increasing dramatically in size during the next few years, and need the most amount of new recruits.
