Question
Do you need to know how to swim pretty good to become a airforce pilot. I'm at terrible swimmer.

Yes, swimming is one of those things you will need to complete survival school. You won't have to be an olympic swimmer, but you do need to know the basics and to be able to float and tread water for extended periods of time.
You are given a substantial array of survival gear to help you stay alive until search and rescue forces arrive, but you will need to be able to keep yourself above water during that short time between hitting the water and getting your life vest inflated.
