Answer
Dear Chad --

You can re-enlist into an active Army assignment.  You can re-enlist to remain NG but move onto the active roles for a tour of duty, or you can re-enlist but switch services into the Coast Guard, if you meet their criterion.

To do one of the Army options, you should probably talk to an active duty recruiter, or call the branch manager in Alexandria Virginia to determine what active duty billets are available to you.

To transfer to the Coast Guard, it is best to visit a Coast Guard recruiter and discuss your options and the timelines required to ETS the Army and immediately enlist in the Coast Guard.

Good luck to you.  Thank you for serving.
