Question
I wanted to ask what the prerequisites are for being an army recruiter. More specifically, if someone handicapped can become an army recruiter (ex. someone with only one arm)

thank you very much for your time

Answer
Hi Luis,

Military recruiters are active duty members (for active duty recruiting) and Reserve military members (for Reserve Recruiting). In other words, they are uniformed members of the military.

As someone who is missing an Army cannot stay in the military, then they cannot perform any military job (including recruiting).

In FY 2002 and 2003, the Army experimented with civilian contractors, which used civilian recruiters in a few areas, but that test is over. All Army recruiters are now uniformed members of the military.

Hope this helps!
