Question
Does it ever happen that two people from the same town enlist and end up serving in the same unit? Or does the army ensure that people are spread out?
Hi Brad,
The Army takes no special notice about where someone enlists from, when making assignment selections. It's simply not part of the assignment selection process.
Assignments are made based on the person's assignment preferences (dream sheet), their MOS (job), and the "needs of the service." Place of enlistment is not one of the factors used in the assignment selection process.
