need description or photo of flash worn by 16th special forces group, 1st special forces.  time frame is about 1961 - 1969. thanks

The 1st Special Forces Group flash and crest for the 1961-1969 era can be viewed at the following site:

In 1961 it was a plain yellow flash upon which the soldiers wore their unit crest.

From 1963 to 1964 the yellow flash had a black border.  In 1964 the flash changed again to a yellow flash with a yellow outer border and then a black inner border.  It has remained this style since 1964.

These flashes were worn on the green beret.
