Question
what do i have to do to get in to the army

Answer
Dear Annak --

Generally, you must be a high school graduate and in good health with fair fitness to join the Army.  You cannot be a felon, drug user, or openly practicing homosexual.

You have an even better chance of enlisting in the Army if you have some college or even a college degree.  The more education and the better you score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)  the more likely you are to be able to choose the specialty and extra training you would like.

To learn more at your leisure, please see this website: http://www.goarmy.com/flindex.jsp

Here you will be able to explore options and think about your choices before you contact a recruiter. You can ask a recruiter to contact you via the website.  Therise you can contact a recruiter yourself by finding your local recruiting office in the yellow pages.

Remember to get all recruiter promises in writing on your enlistment contract.  Sign only a contract that you have read completely and understand fully.  Any promises not made in writing,  will not be upheld and cannot be enforced at a later date.

Best of luck to you.
