College: Mount Olive College
GPA: 3.7+  (overall 3.3)

Military Service
Prior Service: Yes, Active Duty AF 4+ years
AFSC: 3A051 - Information Management

Looking for any information leading toward a Medical Commission in the Psychology field

Possible obstacles
- Broken hip -> a metal rod and 2 screws
- MEB’d for Cancer -> return to duty and have been cancer free for almost 4 years

Is something like this waiver-able or am I wasting my time?

My dream is to obtain my PhD in Clinical Psychology and work in the VA hospital with veterans (and families) dealing with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi GLO,

What service are you looking to get a commission in?

Right now, for the Air Force and Navy, OTS/OCS commissions are very, very, very competitive.

You state your rank is SSGt, sew on June 07. Are you currently active duty Air Force (you didn't say)?
