Question
I'm currently in between summer break being a senior and kind of behind in school. But i would like to know what level of education do you need to join either the Navy or the Air Force?

Answer
Hi Elizabeth,

You need to be a graduate from high school.

Both services will accept an extremely limited number of applicants each year with a GED, but your chances of being accepted increase immensely if you stay in school and get your diploma.

The Navy will accept no more than 10 or 15 percent of all their enlistees each year with a GED, and the Air Forc accepts, hardly none at all (no more than 1 percent).

In short, if you want to join the Air Force or Navy, your best bet is to stay in school and get your high school diploma.

Hope this helps!
