Question
my son in 20 - he has a re3 code from a discharge from national guard - but he never finished boot camp - wanted to join and inbetween making decisions got into trouble with law - he got 6 months probation and community but is getting released in 3 months because he told them that he made a mistake and really wants to be in the marines - the recruitor has kept all his paperwork and keeps tellinmg him that after he is done with probation they will be able to emlist him - that will be next month - is this man telling him the truth - this is all he is waiting for - thank you

No, the recruiter seems to be telling the truth. If your son never went to boot camp, he was never technically enlisted, and was basically dropped from the DEP & given the RE3. It sounds like he can be reenlisted OK to me.
