Question
I'm 17 right now and ive always wanted to be a marine i recently got put on juvenile probation i was wondering if i still could enlist when I'm released from probation

Answer
Hi bo,

Lots depends on what the offense you were convicted of, and what your previous criminal history might be.

To see if you would require a waiver for enlistment in the Marine Corps, you'll want to see my Marine Corps Criminal History pages at: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/marinejoin/a/criminal.htm

You *cannot* enlist while stile on probation. Depending on the offense (see above article) you may be able to enlist upon completion of all obligations (including probation) for the said offense(s).

Hope this helps!
