I am 32 years old married with three kids. Iwoud like to know how do I go about getting a waiver. I was 16 years old and recieved 2felonies went to boot campin 1992. IThas been over 15 years and I havent been convicted of anything since. Im in school for my diploma .I just need help so that I can serve my country and provide for my family and any information will be greatly appreciated.THANK YOU

I'm afraid the chances are probably not that good. Sometime around 1994 or 1995, Congress passed a law which prohibited the services from waiving more than one felony. It's not possible to get a waiver for two felony convictions under the current laws.

However, you'll want to see a recruiter to be sure. It's quite possible that if the two felony convictions resulted from a single incident, the service may only count it as one felony.

In the past two years, the Army has approved more felony waivers than any of the other services (see my article at: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningthemilitary/a/waiverdetails.htm), so that would be the branch to start with.
