Answer
Joshua,

I applaud you in your efforts to serve in the military. Unforunately in accordance with DoD regulations, you must have vision in both eyes to enter any branch of the military. The DoD isnt trying to discriminat aginst those who have sight in only one eye. Simply put, we do not want to have to put you in a situation where you might become totally blinded.

There are other ways where you can serve. There are civillian companies that may hire you and have you working overseas on military installations. You need to research and contact those companies to see what their requirements are. You can also check with the Department of Homeland Security. I do know that they are looking for folks to provide security at our nations Air Ports. This is a Federal position.

I am truly sorry that I couldnt be the bearer of better news, but it doesnt completely exclude you from serving this great nation, you just have to find the alternative method of serving.

I wish you well in your endevors..
