Question
Are army soldiers allowed to leave the country on their leave like for example, go on spring break to mexico?

If I have a chain w/ pendant I want to give to my soldier can he wear it or posses it during ait?

Answer
Dear Shannon -

A Soldier may take leave outside the country, but the location must be on the leave form, and the Soldier must receive a security briefing concerning travel in that locale, prior to departing the country.  The Soldier's unit may also require proof of round trip travel such as round trip plane, or bus tickets, prior to approving such international leave.  That is decided by local policy or unit policy.  Soldiers in entry level training are unlikely to receive permission to travel overseas.

Soldiers may wear a religious chain around their necks as long as it remains under their T-shirt during wear.  For some training they are only allowed to wear their dog tags.  In such a case they would have to remove their chain and lock it in a safe box inside their wall locker.

Hope this answers your questions.  I only saw two questions.
