Question
hey
im a junior in high school and i feel like im running out of time to decide on "what i want to do when i grow up" im going between a doctor and the air force; two totally different fields i know, but both interest me. i look at being a doctor, and i think how long that'll take, AND how much money it'll cost, and i dont know if i'd want to go through with that, because after all, im not the kind of person who wants to dress up for work every day for the next 60 years. the air force seems like it'd be a better choice in that light, but -- as bad/unprofessional as this sounds -- the income isn't very high, and i dont know how long it'll take. please tell me what your opinion is, and what kind of training i will need for the air force, positives and negatives, that kind of stuff.

any info you can shed light onto would be great
thanks,
mike

Answer
Mike:

Talk to a recruiter and they can lay out some better options for you as well as what ALL your options are.  The AF has medical doctors, you can always see if they will pay your way through medical school if you enlist.  Certainly worth considering, but only a recruiter can give you those kinda options and what's available.  Much will depend on being accepted to medical school, etc etc.

Nothing wrong with being 'on the fence' so to speak.

Expertise

Questions relating to US Marine Corps; rank, awards, uniforms, career choices. I can also help people spot and expose fakes (people pretending to be Marines or have awards they didn`t earn). Considering the Marines as a career? Or another branch, like the Air National Guard? Drop me a line. HOWever..know that I am NOT a recruiter. I can offer my expert opinion and advice, but can't (and won't) over rule what a recruiter says, they are the 'on duty' expert.
