QUESTION: I'm a nursing student at the moment, working on my RN I'm trying to do some research on the legal implications facing nurses, and having a lot of trouble, just wondering what you may know about it.

- what are some legal concepts that apply to nursing
- what potential charges can be laid against nurses? what about nursing students? who will help?
- What is the Good Samaritan Law? how does it apply to Nursing?

here is a good link for the good Samaritan law. I would like you to read it and extract the information you need from it.

Charges against nurses can be many and varied, but like any other career, if you do your job right, follow the law, follow the policies of your organizations, follow your concience and good old common sence you will be fine. Most nurses practice all their career and never have a legal incident. Nurses can be sued for neglect or mal-practice. Nursing student can also be sued for the same charges. Again.
