I am 15 and I already know I want to become a Nurse. The question is what kind of nurse? I love Newborns and I am pretty sure I want to work in the New Born nursery. How do I get there. Do I become and RN? Please help me. What would be the starting salary if I worked with newborns? I don't want to be with the sick babies though, I couldn't deal with sick babies, it would be too sad. Please Help me! :(

Holly, thank you for the question. Yes you will need to become an RN. I do not know the starting salary since each state and even county has different salary structures. By the time you are in nursing school, salaries would have changed. I would advise you to call a local hospital and ask for human resources and pose your questions. You also need to know that even well babies can become sick and you would be responsible for the care.
