Question
Hello! I need to interview an RN for my nursing course and I was hoping you could help me out by answering a few questions about the nursing profession. The more detailed the answers the better!

1. What is your name, and how long have you been an RN?

2. What brought you into the field of nursing?

3. What keeps you in the field of nursing?

4. What do you recognize as the greatest rewards/challenges     in the profession if nursing?

5. What changes would you like to see in the profession of nursing?

6. What advice can you offer a student entering nursing school and the profession of nursing?

Answer
My Name is Violet, I have been an RN since 1992
I love to care for people and the salary is good, not great but good.
I love caring to terminally ill people.
Rewards; the thank you's and hugs. Challenges; too much regulation and paperwork, not always enough time to care for patients.
Less regulations, better salaries.
If you are embarking on the profession for money, go to law school. Being a nurse is hard back breaking many times thankless labor. Become a nurse because you love yourself and you love others. Become a nurse because you want to make a difference in others lives.
