Subject: how do i match my college major with my job?!?!?!

Question
I'm looking into becoming an anesthesiologist but i'm going to graduate high
school this year and i don't know what to major in. because you work in the
surgery aspect of hospitals i thought that you might be able to help me. what
kind of major do i need to look for- do i go into nursing or do i go into
something else specifically for anesthesiologists. can you please help me??

Answer
Hello Lindsay,
Thank you for an excellent question. Anasthesiologists are doctors, but if you wanted to go into nursing than there are many needs for CRNA's which are nurses who go to additional schooling and become certified nurse anesthetist. Please check into your colleges to find out what they offer and which programs would be right for you. You can always make an appointment with the college guidance counselor, who will help you on deciding and put you into the classes that you need. Good luck with your future Lindsay! I truly hope this helps you, if you have any further questions please feel free to write to me again and I will be more than happy to try and help you.
                                  Warmest regards, KathleenY2
