Question
hi i am going to be a senior next year and i have always wanted a career in the medical field, but i am not sure on what i want to be. i had been thinking of studying to become a pediatrician but i have been having thoughts of becoming a labor and delivery nurse. can you please provide me some important information about these two careers that will help me decide which is best for me? thank you so much for taking your time to read and answer my question, i have read some of your responses and they are very helpful and i am positive your answer will help me choose my career. once again thank you.

Answer
Diana, I am glad you are looking to the medical field for your future. I would advise you to become a pediatrician. A pediatrician is a medical doctor, so you would first have to go to medical school, become a doctor and specialize as a pediatrician. I am a nurse and love nursing. To become a labor and delivery nurse you must go to nursing school, become a nurse then specialize in labor and delivery. Sorry it took so long to answer, I was on vacation and just came home today.
