Question
QUESTION: i have been working as an archaeologist for the past seven years in my home country. but, now i want to study nursing becuase there is no job opportunity of my profession to be an archeaologist after i have moved to other country. so what kind of advice can you give me?

ANSWER: from investigating the dead to investigating the living, very interesting choice :-). If you like working with people and you are kind and compassionate you will make a good nurse. I have been a nurse almost 20 years and have never been out of work. There are literally hundreds of opportunities in nursing. Start by going to your local university and signing up. The sooner you start the sooner you will finish. Good luck. What country are you from? and where are you planning to move to?

QUESTION: First thank you for your advice. I am from Eritrea, East Africa. I have already arrive  in Sweden. and is there any connection between anthropology and nursing, because i have been graguated my first degree in anthropology and archaoelogy?

Answer
Hello Tekleab, no there is little or no connection. You may not have to take some of the sciences and math. Because you already have a degree, you probably have taken many of the classes, but you will probably have to take all your direct nursing classes. Now please be aware I am in America and do not know the rules for Sweden.  I would dearly love to know how you did with this endeavor. You may e-mail me if you like @ vea@tampabay.rr.com
