Careers: Photography/COPYRIGHT STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS?

Question
I shot a wedding a few years back in which the lab i used , not only burned a cd but furnished more custom prints and enlargements to my client.
They knew the work was mine .I am the only photographer using medium format equipment in my area and only one of 2 they have as clients .The other is an areal photographer so my works distinctive!
Is there a statue of limitations on how long I have to prosecute this theft and negligence?
Sincerely and Thank You,
Michael D Rogers

Answer
This is a question to be answered by a copyright attorney. How do you know what the lab did? How long ago did it happen? These are questions which the attorney would ask. It could be that the lab violated your rights if they burned the cd and also printed from your negatives without your permission. How did they know who your client was? Check it out! Thanks for asking, wish I could be more explicit.
