Question
I am new to the digital camera world. First question concerns the batteries.  I have used the camera on 2 occasions and on both occasions I had to put in new alkaline batteries.  Length of time between each use was approximately 3 weeks. Also, my pictures look clear on my computer monitor, however, when I print the pictures on my home printer (HP injet 940c)the pictures are covered with red (when I print a graphic, it is fine).  Fuji does not have a user-friendly or accessible technical support. I would appreciate any suggestions.  Thank you.

Answer
When I went into digital, I got rechargable nmhd batteries which do not have a memory of when they were last charged so that you can shoot 10 shots or more and recharge the batteries without them remembering that after 10 shots they should be recharged. It is embarassing to go to take pix and find that all your batteries have gone flat. I now take a set of fresh non-rechargable batteries as a backup.
As to the problem with your home printer, I would suspect that you may have a problem with the color cartridge of your printer. Printers are inexpensive now, its the cartridges where the companies make their money. You could  borrow a printer and try that. Or you could put the picture on a disc and have a friend print it to see if you are getting an accurate rendition of the picture from the monitor to the printer.
I would choose a graphic that had every color in it to check to see if the printer has a problem.
Good luck to you, hope I've helped you. Thanks for the question.
