Question
Does your job involve much traveling?

Answer
This will depend upon the type of photography you do. IE: a studio in a small town like mine will be generally localized so the trips are short. The farthest I had to go on a wedding shoot was when the wedding was in Madison, and the reception was in Indianapolis, 105 miles away. On the other hand, perhaps you are connected with a yearbook company that requires you to photograph in a different school each week. You may get something for a magazine which may involve traveling. National Geographic, Life, etc come to mind. So the answer is yes and no, depending upon your circumstances and desires.
Thanks for asking.

Experience

I have been a professional photographer for 35 years. I am transitioning to digital photography so I might be able to help in that field. I'm retired now but am still able to be helpful in the field. I have built a b/w, color darkroom, worked in a color lab, worked in the newspaper field both in darkroom and as a shooter.
