i am a student in high school interested in a photography career. im needing to know what is the highest salary for a photographer after leaving high school.

There is no set salary for photographers. The only way to find out is to query the photogs in your area. In the larger cities, the amount will be different according to population. The larger the population, the more that the studio or photographer can charge for their services. Experienced artist/photographers can ask for more. It is a fickle career based upon sentiment, it can be greatly influenced by the economy. If the difference is eating or paying the rent as opposed to buying photographs, what will suffer?

I have been a professional photographer for 35 years. Wedding, portraits, passports, copies, groups pix, reunions, etc. Specialty in photography of large groups. I also have worked in newspaper photography for most of my photographic years. I have built and maintained a b/w darkroom, and a color darkroom.
