hello-can you suggest some ways for me to advertise or market my photography or skills?  i went to school for photography and i would really like to make a little money.  the unfortunate thing is, is that the school never gave me any business class or marketing skills.  in addition to this i paid all that money out just to have my skills as a trained darkroom photographer wasted, well not completely, but still.

We are in the beginning process of digital photography conversion. However don't despair that you've lost money. You have learned the way to learn a process. In big cities, there are labs that need trained darkroom technicians. The government is also looking for trained techs. It is out there, try Googling your question for what to do. Meantime, I would suggest that you take a few courses in business and/or marketing to go along with your skills. Perhaps you could establish a darkroom lab service. Have you talked to a guidance counselor at the school. They may have some ideas and are awaiting your queries.
You may wish to update your darkroom skills to include digital work. The more arrows you have in your quiver the better able you will be to use those skills. I wish I had some more ideas for you, perhaps I'll get something more in which case I'll include that in an updated answer. Good luck in your life.
