Question
Do I need to take any classes or get certification or licensed to work in a photography studio like in sears or jc penny?

Answer
Generally these types of operations can brief you on what to say, what to do, how to position the kid(s). They have frozen the controls on the cameras so that they can't be reset. Of course, the more experience you get in working with your portrait subjects will help you in getting the top dollar. Ask one of the studios, they will assist you. If they don't you haven't missed much. They may have enough operators already so they won't do much with your app.
Hope this helps. Photography in most states do not require certification. The camera of today is so automated that anybody can get a decent picture without much training.
Thanks,
Don
