Answer
Tamar,
Perhaps you could photograph the various school groups. I would suggest that you be a student photog for the school paper or the yearbook. This would give you experience. It's the way I started out long ago when black and white was the film of use. Showing my age, aren't I? Perhaps you could document the repairs that are done to the school. Perhaps you could show the less visible members of the school staff such as the job of the janitor, cleaning staff, etc.  I'm sure that you can think of other activities involving taking of pictures. I can tell that you are knowledgeable about computers, possibly you have a digital camera. Take pictures with it. It's much cheaper to process the pics on the camera than by sending the film to the lab.
Best of luck to you, if I can help further, let me know.
Don
