light consists of photons, which are energy quanta. Energy of a single quantum is related to the frequency of the light by Planck's law E_ph = h*f_ph, where h is the Planck's universal constant.

Intensity of light is defined as the number of photons N per unit area A, per unit time T, so that:
I = N/(T*A). Intensity thus defined has nothing (!) to do with the frequency of light.

There is something called Radiative Power Density, which is the product of intensity and energy of a single photon quantum, P = I*E_ph. This quantity joins he two and it is useful in wireless communications and radiology.

Is it of any use at all? I am building a [materials research] experimental device for my masters/doctorate thesis and I have the following problem:... I have tried ..., but it still doesn't work. Where might the problem be?
