Question
I am a student of class 10 and I want to be a scientist in physics.CAn u plz help me in guiding what shall be my minimum and maximum qualification to be a scientist of international level

Answer
Hi Deepesh:

I am afraid that I don't really understand your questions.  There are no minimal and maximal qualifications involved.  You can be involved in research with any level of degree but in order to be an independent researcher you will need to obtain a Ph.D. in physics.

What you need to do is to study well in secondary school, Get a B.S. in physics at a good school while getting as much research experience as possible and then get into a graduate program for a Ph.D.  After the Ph.D. you will be a professional physics researcher and you can seek out a career.  You need to get good grades in your secondary and college studies but most of all you need to learn physics in the right way.  That is not by rote but gaining a fundamental understanding.  This will take you far.

Cheers,

Carlo
