Question
i am 17 years old. How do i go about gettin a job or into the police academy? I
am interested in doing so very soon someone please let me know thanks!...

Answer
Preston,

Thanks for the question.

In some states you can go to a Junior College or University and take police related courses or attend an academy, and once you have completed the required courses, you can apply to the various police agencies.

In other states, you have to be hired by a police agency, and then they send you to an academy.

Preston, you can get your foot in the door by doing volunteer work for a law enforcement agency, or join a police explorer program in your area. You can gain a lot of valuable experience buy doing so.

Good luck and best wishes!
