Question
Hello Jim, I am a student in ohio. I am doing a research paper for my english class and i was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me.
1. How long does it take to go through training
2. What is the selection process like?
3. Do you think that your job is  interesting?

Answer
Chad,

The training course in Ohio is approximately 558 hours. The length of time depends on weather you go full time or part time. The selection process to get hired by a Department takes you through a written test, a physical agility exam, a psychological exam, a polygraph exam an extensive background investigation and an oral board interview.

In my experience and personal experience, Police work is the most exciting and rewarding career one can have. I hope this helped somewhat.

Jim
