Question
it has always been my biggest dream to become a sniper. right now i am planning on joining the army when my 18th comes around. i have 7 months, but being a woman i am not really allowed to do what i want to do in the army, therefore i would like to become a sniper in the police force...are women able to be snipers??

Answer
Calyn,

I don't know of any restriction for a female being a sniper on a Police Department. I would this as long as your qualified you can do it. However you must first do your time as a Patrol Officer as Police Departments pick their SWAT team from the ranks. There is a stringent physical test and training as well as physiological testing prior to becoming a sniper. So one has to work their way up. Hope this helped somewhat.
