Question
Can a Florida Police Officer park his cruiser on private property and use a radar gun to catch speeders?  I thought the officers had to use radar etc. on right of ways or public roads and were prohibited from setting up speed traps on private property.

Answer
Ron,

To the best of my knowledge a Police Officer can park on private property and run radar. At least I know they could in Ohio. I don't see why they would not be able to do so in Florida. I have never heard of any restraints like that.
