Answer
Marco:

I have nothing to do with it.  The first hurdle you need to jump is to become a person eligible to work in the United States, if you are looking to work here, that is.  I have no idea about what it would take in your country, but I imagine the process is similiar, you just can't walk into a police department and join the SWAT team.  You first have to work in the patrol division for a number of years, (this is after being hired, and going through the police academy) and then try out for the team, competing against other officers.  If you are selected, there is more training after that.
