is SWAT goverment job?

SWAT is a job specialty job within a Police Department or Sheriff's Department. To qualify you must be a sworn Police Officer in the Department and almost have spent time working on the road prior. Almost all decent size City, County, State and Federal agency's have some sort of SWAT unit. So Departments call it by different names.

I have been assigned to the vice unit, the tactical response team and am currently a certified crime scene investigator and a certified Police Instructor.
