Question i am a 17 year old boy interested in joining the police force i hope to progress to the point of serving some time in the swat but understand it is a special assignment area i would like to know what i could do to get in physical and mental shape for a career in law enforcement
Answer Joshua,
Thanks for the question.
Lots of physical agility training: This is not all inclusive, but will be a good start.
1. Running, climbing (walls & ropes & windows & Fences)
2. Defensive tactics training, and not necessarily Martial Arts, although that's good to do as well.
3. Lots of firearms training and shoot/don't shoot judgmental shooting.
Do the above three while you practice on becoming a good police officer and the rest should follow when you try out for SWAT.
