older applicant 43yrs old but in decent shape.  recent physical fitness test: 61 pushups (1 min), 45 sit ups (1 min) & 1.5 mile 13:08 here's my story

driving record: driving suspended license 05 for back child support & several moving violations (red light, correction: 1 speeding ticket in 2.5 years (making child support payments on time)

financial: filed chapter 7 2005 reason: purchased home with 2 incomes based on a future marriage. We didn't get married and I was left with the mortgage payment. Correction: re-established credit and haven't missed a credit payment in 2.5 years.

Employment: several jobs in the last 10 years 2 discharges:
1) partnership dissolved , nothing adverse with character
2) released failure to meet sales quotas (sales position)

Summary of positive attributes:

4 year degree (management and labor relations)
older (maturity)
3 years active duty (honorable discharge)
no criminal record as an adult or under the age of 18
being a minority applicant (in some departments)

I was wondering my chances of passing a BI?

Thanks for the question.

It really depends on where you apply for a law enforcement position.

Some jurisdictions are extremely strict on credit histories and others are not. A lot of police agencies will take a dim view of missed/late child support payments, especially if it involves suspending your driver's license.

If all of that has been straightened out, and you are are the straight and narrow, I see no problem with you being able to go through a hiring process with a police agency.
